Pop-Up Group Exhibition, Monday 19th June 2023, 06:00 - 10:00 pm

The exhibition is a cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts in Nürnberg and the Sculpture Department, K.U.V.A, Helsinki. Students from the classes of Katja Eydel and Heike Baranowsky, Academy of Fine Arts in Nürnberg went travelling in slow motion as sustainable as possible to Helsinki last year in May. We went on a journey of space and time, dealing with eco-politics in a seminar via Zoom and setting our bodies in motion on a ferry, reading the Mushroom at the End of the World to finally drop off delayed at Helsinki. There, we met in real life with the Sculpture department at the Academy of Fine Arts (K.U.V.A) to gather and discuss.

This year, we will connect again in Nürnberg, dealing with a whole variety of topics such as sustainability, eco-politics, connections between space and time and facing difficult heritage, especially the Nazi party rally grounds in Nürnberg.

The works emerging from this exchange will be exhibited at the Academy gallery, Hauptmarkt 29, 90403 Nürnberg, Monday 19th June 2023.
